Commercial Engagement

Every project is different in terms of its Clarity of Requirements and also Need for Flexibility.

We are happy to discuss your specific project's situation and work out the best commercial terms that work for both parties.

Most projects will be based on either time-and-materials, or fixed-price contracts.

How do you want to pay?

Fixed Time & Price

Close Fixed Time & Price

Where the requirements of a project are clarified and relatively precise, we can estimate the time and budget required for development of the solution. In such cases we can offer a fixed cost/time contract option to our clients.

In this model, we can offer staged payment terms and build the application to the exact specification requested by our clients.

Clear & Well-defined Expectations

Close Clear & Well-defined Expectations

The main benefit of a Fixed Contract is clarity of expectations for both parties.

Our client will know exactly what they are going to get, in what time-scale, and at what cost.

In particular for larger organisations with longer or more complex budget approval work-flow and process, this model may be the only option.

Needs: Written Specification of Requirements

Close Needs: Written Specification of Requirements

For a Fixed Contract to work, it is inevitable to have clear written specification for the requirements, features and software user cases.

Such specification will be the basis of the contract and will be the reference for measuring progress and success.

If a new project does not have written specification already, usually there will need to be a smaller "Time & Material" contract to produce the specification and estimate accurate time and cost before the main development contract.

Potential for Iterative Enhancements

Close Potential for Iterative Enhancements

A Fixed Contract for a project can always be followed by other fixed contracts or "Time & Material" enhancement phases.

This way a large project can be broken down into smaller phases each with a fixed contract. This approach helps control costs and risks and results in a working version of the application to be ready for use, long before the entire "Project concept" is completed.
